Vision

Since our beginnings over 50 years ago, we have sought to undergird all our activities with both vision and values, based on our total conviction that God wants to bring healing and wholeness to everyone, to enable them to live life to the full.

Our vision is that Green Pastures will be a Christian healing community where people can be, and become, more fully alive: to themselves, to God, and to the world.

In order to achieve that vision, our mission - what we offer, if you like - is resources for the strengthening and renewal of body, mind and spirit in a welcoming and creative environment.

We have a set of values which are central to what we do, and which we encourage all our staff, volunteers, guests and visitors to embrace these for themselves.

We are here to help those who:

face physical, emotional or spiritual challenges
feel that they cannot cope with life or relate to God, perhaps because of busyness and stress
want to take time out from their normal activities for physical, mental or spiritual renewal
want to explore new directions for their life and faith

Green Pastures is overseen by an Executive Committee. Day-to-day management is the responsibility of our Centre Manager, Audri Coleman.

While we are without a Pastoral Director, we have several Christion counsellors whom we can call upon to give advice and counsel to our guests, but these consultations need to be booked in advance. We can also continue to offer spiritual direction through our Executive members and external experts. During the interregnum we will be having locum chaplains from time to time, who will be able to offer pastoral care to guests.
