Events at Green Pastures

Here is a list of the events currently planned for 2010, and we are sure there is something here which will be helpful to you. Other events will certainly be added as the year progresses, so please come back and visit this page regularly.

In addition to the special events listed below, we also have a number of regular activities, and guests are, of course, welcomed at Green Pastures at any time, subject to accommodation being available.

For further details and brochures, please contact us.

Events for 2010

Green Pastures will be closed from December 16 until February 14, 2010 for refurbishment. For more information, see our Chairman's notes.

Food for the Journey : 15-18 February (from £200)
This will now be led by our new chaplain, Les Judd and his wife Alison, (and not Ken & Heather Blackwell as previously advertised). Although faith is often likened to a journey where we can walk hand-in-hand in close communion with God, many of us find this is not always easy. During this retreat, Les and Alison will tackle topics such as resting places, the hazards we face, travelling companions, etc. For more details, see the Winter edition of Update.

There will also be the option of a writing workshop during this retreat.

Music to Meditate by : 12-14 March (from £165)
Charles Timberlake is a composer and performer of reflective, inspirational piano music, in the style of Margaret Rizza. His music is like soothing balm and this will be especially helpful for those who are struggling with enormous stress or loss of some kind. A weekend of quiet contemplation and meditation will sooth and quieten your spirit. Allow your heart to be moved… be calmed… be inspired… be uplifted…

Free to be me : 16-19 March (from £200)
Led by Marilyn Baker and Tracy Williamson will lead this Spring retreat on the theme of having the freedom to be ourselves. We are all unique in God's sight, but sometimes we feel we have to conform to what people expect of us - but God wants us to be the individuals He created us to be.

Myers Briggs workshop : 26-28 March
Led by Jane Gibbs

Easter Encounter : 1-6 April
Led by Tony Horsfall

Leadership Retreat : 7-9 April
Led by Tony Horsfall

Prophetic School : 7-9 May
Led by David Betts

God’s peace in a busy world : 28-30 May
Led by Pamela Howarth

Beauty for Ashes : 17-20 September
Led by Jennifer Rees Larcombe

Creative Listening and Intimacy with God : 26-29 October
Led by Marilyn Baker and Tracy Williamson
