Locum Chaplain
This temporary post will be for periods of 3-6 months from September 2008 to Sept 2009.

In return for board and use of a self-contained flat, the duties include:

• Spiritual leadership
• Morning & evening prayers
• Quiet days
• Healing services
• Spiritual direction
• Pastoral counselling

The successful candidate will be a team player who can pastor and resource both guests and staff. This person will work closely with the centre manager, pastoral assistant and other staff to deliver the distinctive ministry found at GP, and will be accountable to the trustees of the charity. This would be a short term post in the first instance, with scope for future development. Hours are negotiable between 20-30 hours.

This post may suit someone who is pursuing further study, testing a call to chaplaincy, at or near retirement, or as part of a sabbatical.

Live-in Staff (two vacancies)
We are looking for two live-in staff who will undertake community duties in return for an attractive accommodation/holiday package. In return for 15 hours work per week you will also receive a small salary. As with all our staff, you are expected to be sympathetic to our Christian ethos and values.

Relief Cook
Your duties will include preparing meals for between 10-30 guests to cover holidays, etc.

Community Member
This role includes a variety of support activities, including cleaning and office work.

The package includes free accommodation, free meals while on duty, free heat, light and parking, no community charge, and use of seasonal swimming pool. In addition you will be entitled to six weeks paid holiday per year (although you will be expected to work over Bank Holidays).
