An oasis of calm and reflection...
...come and be refreshed for the journey

It's widely recognised that we need to take more time out from our increasingly busy lives to reflect and take stock, so that we can be more effective in our service for our families, our churches and society. It's a pattern that Jesus himself established, enabling him - and his disciples - to serve God more fully.

We have a wide range of events planned for 2010 to help you to relax, reflect and restore your physical, mental and spiritual facilities. Each one offers the chance for a deepening relationship with God, and being re-charged for life.

For details, please go to our Events Listing.

We also welcome Andy Challis as our new Centre Manager. Andy comes with a wide range of management experience gained during his work at a youth training and accommodation centre, and as operations manager for a Christian holiday company.

Both men will be commissioned at West Cliff Baptist Church in Westbourne on Saturday March 6th at 2.00pm. See your personal invitation to this event.

Arrangements for counselling / spiritual accompaniment

While we are without a Pastoral Director, we have several Christion counsellors whom we can call upon to give advice and counsel to our guests, but these consultations need to be booked in advance. We can also continue to offer spiritual direction through our Executive members and external experts. During the interregnum we will be having locum chaplains from time to time, who will be able to offer pastoral care to guests.

In line with many retreat centres who offer skilled spiritual accompaniment and counselling we make a charge for hourly sessions of this service. The fee for counselling is from £30 per hourly session, and there is normally one session during a week-long stay. For spiritual accompaniment a fee of £35 is charged, and for those booking an individually guided retreat, which usually involves several shorter sessions of spiritual guidance in a stay, the fee will be from £40 per week.

20% reduction for full-time clergy!

Recognising the increasingly stressful nature of ministry today, we are offering a discount on our (already very reasonable!) prices for ministers in full-time ministry and/or their spouses. This is a great chance to get away, relax near the sea, talk through your difficulties and experience spiritual renewal.

Contact Andy Challis (0845 230 2680 or 01202 764776), to make your booking.
